Billy Cart Camp - 13-15 September  (corrected dates, not 15-17th)

Please let Graeme know URGENTLY whether you can go.  We will be modifying the billy carts to the new rules next week.  There hasn't been enough interest for the camp so far, so we could go just for the day racing.

Hike at Mitchell River National Park - 4 - 6 October

This is a pretty cruisy hike over 2 days and 2 nights.
Please let Spencer or Graeme as soon as you can if you can go with Spencer's independent Scout Patrol if you have some hiking experience, or with the Learner-Leader group if you are a first time / learner hiker.

It is a mostly flat terrain hike starting Friday late afternoon to hike in 1km to camp, then about 8km and 9km over Saturday and Sunday to camping facilities following the Mitchell River downstream.  We aim to be at the end by noon on Sunday for the drive home. The location is a bit over 4 hours drive to get to, so best if we can carpool to have parents down there.

Spencer needs to have 5 scouts in total to be hiking independently.

Learner Hikers are welcome to join the leaders who will be following in a separate group with the Leaders.

Details f the Hike:
You can see the hike on the Park Note which will start at the Angusvale Camping Area to drop off on Friday night, hike around 1km to the rock Creek Camping Area for Friday Night.  Saturday we will follow the walking track about 9km along the river to camp at Billy Goat Bend camping area.  Sunday we will continue about 8km to follow the walking track along the river to the Den of Nargun Camping Area to meet for pickup from 12 noon.
