THE FANTASTIC RACE (TFR) - 9-10 August

WHAT IS THE FANTASTIC RACE?

Based on the ‘Amazing Race’ TV show, the Fantastic race involves Scouts travelling in Patrols and completing a number of challenges in locations across Melbourne and beyond.

The Patrols follow clues to navigate between the locations.
Each and every year the location and challenges in the race change. In fact no two races have ever been the same.

All the details are kept a very closely guarded secret right up until the race starts. And even then Patrols only receive one clue at a time as the race course reveals itself throughout the day.

On Saturday night everyone comes together in a secret location and on Sunday morning everyone participates together in a surprise activity.

The 2012 race involved approx. 220 Scouts from across the state. In 2014 we expect close to 300 Scouts to participate.

Past races have seen Scouts sleep in the Grand Prix pit building at Albert Park, travel all the way around the bay, venture to Ballarat, ride the ferry to Williamstown, play real life angry birds, ultimate frisbee competitions, paint bomb wars, steam train trips, go ice skating, luna park rides, imax, jumping castles are so much more. Who knows what this years race might include...
