Hi Scouts,
This is an excellent hike for beginners with a hike time of
less than an hour to a nice campsite that is walk in only. There is a toilet
and great campfire facilities available. Yes, it is winter and it will be
chilly but we are well prepared Scouts. We will be sleeping in our new
three person dome tents which will be very cosy. We can get a support vehicle
to 100m of the campsite so we can have access to camp chairs and extra sleeping
bags. Open fire cooking with sizzling
sausages and delicious damper making will also keep us warm.
For activities there will be two separate bush walks to two
waterfalls in the area, Cascade falls and Wilhelmina falls, these are very nice
in winter with lots of water flowing over them.
