For those who are interested in coming in a group, we are meeting up at 19th Camberwell Scout Hall at 10.30 am, Saturday, and carpooling together to the Box Hill North Scout Hall. Jon Mason will be able to pick 5 other Scouts. Might need some other Scout Parents to help transport Scouts as well for those Scouts coming along.
It'll be fun to go in a group, but you are welcome to go on your own too. I have been for a few JOTIs in my time and it was always fun.
Jamboree on the Air 17 or 18 October
Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is an international event the encourages scouts and guides from all over the world to communicate via amtetueur (Ham) radio.
Box Hill North Scouts are hosting a high-tech radio base at their hall - drop in and have a go at some of thier activities - Morse code, semaphore, code breaking, and jump on a radio and talk around the world.
Drop in Sat 11am-5pm, Sun 10am-1pm
