For those scouts wishing to get some time up for their community service there is a chance to help a charity this Saturday.
MOSS (Melbourne Old School Skaters) are holding their annual Moss Jam skateboarding competition.
In the past Moss has raised thousands of dollars with 100% going to water projects in Africa.
See here to see some of the good work. http://mosswaterproject.com/
There will be a sausage sizzle and drink stand at the competition that scouts will be running.
(You will also get to see some amazing skateboarding from Australias top skaters.)
We will leave the scout hall Saturday morning at 8.30 am (I can take four scouts, others see you there)
Pick up will be from the skate park at 2.30.
Pioneer level you need to do 2 hours community service, explorer need to do 4 hours. You can certainly just help for part of the day if you like.
The skate park is beside the Noble Park swimming pool corner of Heatherton Rd and Memorial drive Noble park.
I will be there the whole day.
Please come in uniform and bring your green book to be signed off.
As this is a scouting activity of site you will need a PIR form.
Please email me to confirm your spot.
